Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stir mobile app and website, provided by Taravat Nazeri, a sole proprietor ("Stir," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Stir, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

01Eligibility

Stir is about cocktails and is for adults. You must be of legal drinking age where you live (21 or older in the United States) to use Stir. By using Stir, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

02The service

Stir is a cocktail creation and bar management app. Free features include cocktail creation in Studio, a recipe library, tools such as the Batch Calculator and Bar Bible, public profiles, and the cocktail feed. Stir Pro, a paid subscription, unlocks bar management tools such as inventory and Count Mode, invoice scanning, purchase orders, variance reports, staff accountability, Bar P&L, and menu engineering. Image credits are sold separately and are used to generate AI cocktail images.

03Accounts

You need an account to use most of Stir. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account, and you must provide accurate information. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Sync & Account → Delete Account.

04Subscriptions, credits, and payment

  • Stir Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual), billed to your Apple ID through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
  • Free trial. Where offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Renewal and cancellation. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. We cannot cancel subscriptions for you.
  • Image credits are one-time purchases. Credits are used when you generate images, do not expire while your account is active, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred.
  • Pro monthly photos. An active Stir Pro subscription includes 100 cocktail photos per calendar month. They are used before purchased credits, reset on the first day of each month, do not roll over, and have no cash value. The included amount may change with notice.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; request them through Apple.
  • Prices are shown in the app, may vary by region, and may change with notice as permitted by Apple.

05Your content

You keep ownership of what you create in Stir: your recipes, menus, bar data, profile, posts, comments, and photos ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate Stir. That includes showing your public profile, posts, comments, and likes to other users according to your privacy settings. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep it to comply with the law. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to post it, including photos and any information about your staff or business.

06Community rules

The cocktail feed, comments, and profiles are shared spaces. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post or send content that:

  • Harasses, threatens, bullies, or demeans anyone, or is hateful or discriminatory
  • Is sexually explicit, violent, or graphic
  • Promotes illegal activity, drunk driving, serving minors, or dangerous overconsumption
  • Is spam, a scam, or impersonates someone else
  • Infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights

You can report posts and comments and block users from within the app. We review reports, remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate them, without prior notice.

07AI-generated content

Studio uses AI (Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's image models) to generate recipes, menu text, and images from your inputs. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are responsible for checking recipes, measurements, allergens, alcohol content, and food and beverage safety before using them, especially in a commercial setting. We don't guarantee the accuracy, originality, or fitness of AI-generated content for any purpose.

08Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Stir for anything unlawful, or in violation of alcohol service or hospitality laws where you operate
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Stir's systems or other users' accounts
  • Scrape or harvest other users' information
  • Use Stir's AI features to create illegal, harmful, or infringing content

09Third-party services

Stir works with services we don't control, including Apple (purchases and Sign in with Apple), and Square and QuickBooks if you choose to connect them. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

10Disclaimers

Stir is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that recipes, cost figures, inventory counts, reports, or other results will be accurate. You are responsible for verifying anything your business relies on, including food and beverage safety, alcohol content, costs, and compliance with local regulations. Always drink responsibly.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stir and Taravat Nazeri will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, business losses, or data loss, arising from your use of Stir. Our total liability for any claim relating to Stir will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12Termination

You may stop using Stir and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect Stir or its users. When your account is deleted, Your Content is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Stir after that means you accept the updated Terms.

14Apple

These Terms are between you and Stir, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Stir or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Sonoma County, California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
